DIY Gold-Dipped Plant Pots

DIY-Gold-Dipped-Plant-Pots4Spring is here! What better way to greet the season than with a colorful little piece of nature to sit atop your desk? Today, DIY whiz Amy of Homey Oh My! shares with The Stylehouse how to make cheery little plant pots that will brighten up your space.
Gold Dipped Plant Pots
  • Terra-cotta pots
  • Acrylic paint
  • Foam brush
  • Washi tape
  • Aluminum foil
  • Gold spray paint
  • Succulents
  • Cactus soil
  • Pink aquarium gravel
Painting a terracotta potStep 1: Using the foam brush, apply acrylic paint to the terra-cotta pots. (Make sure to paint the inside of the rim at the top of the pot as well.) After letting the first layer dry, apply a second layer so you get full, opaque coverage.

Cover the top portion of the pot with aluminum foil and tape down the bottom edge. Spray paint the bottom of the pot with gold spray paint. (If your pots have saucers, spray paint those as well.) They should now look something like this:
